Being in Arizona, it is so easy to get active outside. Surrounded by mountains and trails with beautiful sights, it's no wonder that many people here love to be outside.

Not only is it for the beautiful sights, working out outside is very beneficial for your health!

Here are 5 benefits to taking your workout outside:

  1. Increased vitamin D levels: Expose your skin to natural sunlight and get some vitamin D. It'll strengthen your immune system and increase your mood!

  2. Improve your sleep: you use more energy when working out outside. Your muscles are more exhausted which promotes more regenerative sleep!

  3. Decrease in stress and anxiety levels: exercise already does this, but there's something about the peaceful nature around us that makes this even more so when we're outside!
